Hello Tinkerers!

For our March Networking Night, we will host a crossover event with World Café CAT!

World Café is a collaborative dialogue guided by three powerful questions. In small groups, participants rotate between tables, connecting ideas and generating collective wisdom during the harvest.

The reason we wanted to partner with World Café CAT for this event is that we believe it is important to have conversations about AI, not just within our community, but with other communities in the city as well, and similar to us, we appreciate other community builders that help make meaningful conversations happen in the city.

In this meet-up, Shirley from World Café CAT will help facilitate our discussions in groups about the film, Thinking Game (2024) , so please watch it before you come (link below).

There is a small fee to support the World Café team, which also includes one drink for the evening. There is only capacity for 16 people, so please sign-up early using the LUMA event link.

More details can be found on the event page linked below:

Some films spark conversations that shouldn’t end when the credits roll.

The Thinking Game (2024) follows Demis Hassabis, co-founder of Google DeepMind, on his quest to build artificial general intelligence (AGI). Released free on YouTube on November 25, 2025, it quickly drew over 200 million views within four weeks.

We welcome anyone who have watched it, or would like to watch it and join us for a World Café–style discussion at Harbourview Grill, North Point! One drink is included.

Come ready to think, question, and explore the future together.

In the process, participants are divided into small groups to discuss a question, and then join a new group to discuss the next one.

There will be three rounds, each 15 to 20 minutes.

After that, everyone comes together to share what they learned. We’ll be able to take home the main ideas, themes, and insights that emerged from the discussions.

🏃🏻‍♀️What if I can’t arrive by 7 pm?

No worries. We understand that work schedules can be fluid sometimes. The first 30 minutes are for us to freshen up and get ready. Kindly arrive before 7:30 p.m. to join the sharing session.
