Join Us for an Interactive Online Meetup — Self-Intros & What Are You Building?

We’re hosting a relaxed, interactive online meetup for AI Tinkerers Hong Kong & the Greater Bay Area, with a simple goal: get to know each other and share what we’re building.

Over the past few months, we’ve welcomed many new members into the community. This session is designed to help both new and existing members put faces to names, introduce themselves, and talk about the projects, experiments, or ideas they’re working on — in a casual, builder-to-builder setting.

You don’t need a polished product or a finished demo to join. What matters is curiosity, participation, and a willingness to share. If you’re actively building, experimenting, or thoughtfully exploring what to build next, you’re very welcome.

Session Format

This is a highly interactive, informal session. No slides required.

Structure

• 5 minutes — Quick introduction to AI Tinkerers Hong Kong & Greater Bay Area  
• 45–50 minutes — Round-table self-introductions  

We’ll go around the room and invite everyone to:

• briefly introduce themselves,  
• share what they’re building, experimenting with, or thinking about,  
• or explain what brought them to the community.

Optional Demos

If you’d like to demo something:

• demos are optional but encouraged,  
• up to 5 minutes max (or shorter, depending on group size),  
• lightweight and informal — progress beats polish.

This is about sharing real work and learning from each other, not presenting a finished product. We’d rather see something rough and messy than a polished sales pitch 😀

About AI Tinkerers Hong Kong & Greater Bay Area

AI Tinkerers is a community for people who are actively building, tinkering, and working with AI.

Our members include engineers, founders, researchers, and product builders working on:

• foundation models and LLMs,  
• generative AI systems,  
• agents, RAG pipelines, and automation workflows,  
• applied AI in real-world products.

The goal is simple: share openly, learn fast, and build together  without hype, sales pitches, or passive consumption.

Who This Is For

This meetup is a great fit if you:

• are building or experimenting with AI (professionally or seriously as a side project),  
• want to meet other practitioners in Hong Kong,  
• enjoy informal, thoughtful, builder-to-builder conversations.

You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be prepared to participate, share, and learn.  

This session is intentionally interactive and works best when everyone contributes.

Why This Session?

Because strong communities don’t form by accident — they form when people actually know each other.

Our goal with this session is to:

• spark collaborations
• surface real projects and real problems

Kicking this off early in the year lets us share where we are now and come back later to reflect on what we’ve learned and built along the way.
