Are you passionate about AI and eager to contribute to a global community of builders? AI Tinkerers - Hong Kong is looking for dedicated individuals to join our organizing committee and volunteer team! This is your chance to play a key role in shaping the future of AI in our region.

What is AI Tinkerers?

AI Tinkerers is a meetup designed exclusively for practitioners with technical, machine learning, and entrepreneurial backgrounds who are actively building and working with foundation models, such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.

If you’re deeply passionate about utilizing AI, creating new use cases, developing LLM-enabled applications, or have hands-on experience in building such systems, this group is the perfect fit for you. Join us to connect with like-minded individuals.

Why AI Tinkerers Hong Kong?

Given our unique geographical position, one of the missions of the Hong Kong Chapter is to facilitate intellectual exchange on AI in the region and act as a bridge to share AI insights between the East and West. Although our primary meetup language is English, we welcome demo sharing in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Who is this for?

This is not our regular meetup! Please only RSVP if you are interested in joining AI Tinkerers as an organizing committee member or a volunteer.

We’re looking for people who are excited to help plan and execute events, connect with the community, and contribute to the growth of AI Tinkerers in Hong Kong. We’ll also be sharing our plans for the 2025 season, giving you a sneak peek into what we have in store.

What Roles Are Available?

We are looking for individuals to fill a variety of volunteer roles, below is a non-exhaustive list:

• Organizing Committee Member: Use their network and expertise to help plan and execute engaging and impactful meetups.
• Outreach Coordinators: Help reach out and connect with potential partners and build relationship with all parties.
• Volunteer Support: Assist with various on-the-ground support during events and community initiatives.

We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who are eager to contribute to our community, you do not need to be technical to be part of the team!

Thanks to one of our volunteer’s support, we will be meeting at an incubation hub on February 26th from 6-7:30 PM HKT in Wan Chai! More details to follow once you RSVP.
